Mamas looking to develop business skills and a network of like minded bods

In the week of International Women’s Day we are launching the first Manchester Mamas Mean Business event which is set to arm business Mamas and non Mamas alike with the skills for success whilst connecting with a network of likeminded women.

This event is to be centred around the topic of ‘Making time’. Every Mama knows that time is a finite resource and juggling parenting alongside the prospect of setting up and maintaining a business is a challenge fit for a Queen. To explore this topic a panel of expert women will provide tips for successful time management.

Panel members include:

Katy Carlisle of ‘The Wheel Exists’, a productivity geek and finalist of the 2016 Freelancer of the Year Awards. Katy is no stranger to balancing different projects and currently runs her own successful website business, manages two separate networking groups and volunteers at a third. She is also collaborating with a developer to create two new apps, and still finding time somewhere in between to have a life.

Eve Bell founder of ‘Baba+Boo’ who set up her business selling sustainable reusable nappies with an 18 month old and 9 week old. To date, Eve has stopped 14 million nappies going to landfill since starting her business.

The Panel will be followed by a chance to get to know one another through networking and a chance to pitch your product / service.

The event will be held at The Portico Library where Mamas will discover a hidden Victorian gem in the heart of the city. Access to venue is from doorway and internal stairwell on Charlotte Street.
