The 16th century Wirral based castle has become the 20th hotel to join the heartfelt ‘My Time’ initiative in a bid give local carers a break from their demanding roles.
As part of the collaboration, which encourages carers to relax and unwind by taking well-deserved time out from their commitment, the idyllic property will provide care workers with a complimentary bed and breakfast Sunday stay.
General manager Mike Dewey said: “With Carers Week now underway, what better time to announce our partnership with Local Solutions. The team and I are proud to become the 20th hotel across the North West to get involved with such an honourable initiative that is so well received and valued by carers.
“The simple gift of offering some ‘me time’ to carers means so much to them as their daily lives are filled with the self-less act of devoting their time to a family member, friend or those living with a debilitating disability. While many take for granted the small pleasures in life such as going on a relaxing stroll, becoming enthralled in a book or even just taking a moment to lounge around, the same can’t be said for carers due to the demanding nature of their role. With that in mind, we want to warmly welcome them here at Leasowe Castle and offer them a complimentary bed and breakfast stay as our way of showing appreciation.”
Headed by Local Solutions and the Liverpool Carers Centre, ‘My Time’ is a Big Lottery Funded project that connects carers with businesses and organisations that offer a range of complimentary leisure, cultural and educational activities to give them a break from their demanding roles. In addition to complimentary bed and breakfast stays provided by hotels, alterative generous gesturers include theatre/cinema tickets, afternoon tea, lunches and evening meals to name a few.

As a castle full of historic charm and character, guests will feel as though they’ve been whisked away to a storybook setting that is filled with peace and serenity.

As part of Leasowe Castle’s ‘My Time’ involvement, carers are entitled to a complimentary bed and breakfast stay for two exclusively on a Sunday (excluding bank holidays).
