Power-Pipe UK, based in Bootle, beat off stiff competition in its group to scoop second place at the glitzy black tie event held at Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel.
Now in its third year, The Merseyside Independent Business Awards was created by Moorcrofts Solicitors to recognise and reward the region’s independent business sector.
Competition judges on the evening included former Lord Mayor Cllr Gary Millar, Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce chief executive Jenny Stewart and Liverpool Vision chief executive Max Steinberg.
Waste Water Heat Recovery helps to save energy in new homes by recovering warm waste water from showering and uses it to pre-heat incoming cold fresh water.
Ashley Prescott, director at Power-Pipe UK, who collected the award said: “It was an amazing honour to be nominated for the awards, but to go home as runner-up was something else.
