Blackburn based Strawberry Standards is catering for success with the addition of two new members.
Joanne Hubbard and Ellie Fazackerley join the food standards consultancy as food labelling specialist and trainee IT technician respectively.
Joanne brings with her a wealth of experience from Kellogg’s, where she was manager of the European Analytical Laboratory responsible for the analysis of food. Previous to this, Joanne was at Eurofins laboratory in Chester as an Analytical Services Manager, where she worked with a large food retailer managing a sampling programme.
Ellie joins as an apprentice and her role will be to develop and maintain Strawberry Standards’ IT and information systems, providing capabilities that enable easy interaction with global customers.
The appointments come as the deadline of December 2014, for when the new EU regulation on food labelling in the UK comes into effect, looms ever closer.
The aim of which, is to make food labels clearer and also improve nutritional and allergen information to consumers.
