One of Liverpool’s most stunning venues will re-launch on February 25 as an exclusive live music venue and event space.

District House, which is owned by GHU Ltd, has a new team and a renewed focus after the hospitality management company who were running the venue unexpectedly went into liquidation in January.

Karen Jones has been brought in as general manager, and Bold Management commissioned to deliver an exciting programme of events. Launching with the monthly supper club/party night, with live music, “From Blues and Soul to Rock and Roll”. The first show features the outstanding Connie Lush as special guest. Connie will be performing a set of her all time favourite songs backed by a world-class band. Other confirmed guest vocalists include Thomas Lang and Beryl Marsden.

In addition, Liverpool’s favourite comedienne, Crissy Rock, has created a new, monthly music and comedy experience, entitled “Crissy Rock’s Shocking Bingo”, which launches on Friday, March 10. Part bingo, part Surprise Surprise, and all comedy gold, Crissy will deliver the ultimate party night with surprise special guests each month.

Karen Jones, general manager of District House, said:

“For 2017 we have been busy putting in place a robust programme and a new team to ensure that this stunning venue is operated to the highest standards and we are so very excited about the lineup of events that Bold Management is bringing to the venue.

“All of our events will create the opportunity for our guests to dress up and experience fine dining while being entertained. We are bringing dinner cabaret right up to date for those of us who like to have a little more from our nights out. This is a high-end offer that you will see in hotels in Ibiza, Dubai and Miami and we think that Liverpool will love it.

“Our first night with Connie Lush will be simply stunning and tickets go on sale via TicketQuarter this week. We also welcome back BELLAvie, which returns with the first event of their new District House residency for a number of dates. We kick off our first night starting February 25, “From Blues and Soul to Rock and Roll”, with a full band and special guest Connie Lush, paying tribute to Nina Simone and Aretha Franklin.”

Martin O’Shea, MD of Bold Management, added:

“Liverpool is so ready for this. District House is a one of a kind venue, and has something very special. We are delighted to have been brought in to manage the events programme. We are developing a number of bespoke concepts that Liverpool hasn't seen before, alongside some classic Liverpool club nights, starting with Saturday, March 4 - The State 80’s presents The Killing Moon - as well as events from well-established promoters. District House is perfectly positioned to accommodate a whole variety of events and has that real wow factor only the very best venues can provide.”

District House will be open for unique events and will ensure that the food and service can be paired with the style of each event. The restaurant has capacity for 158 diners and 38 in the exclusive private dining area, while the venue has a number of private hire spaces that can be used for dining or meetings, while the main use will be as dinner cabaret on Fridays and Saturdays.
