South Manchester Diner Celebrates Fundraising Partnership with Stockdales

"Without the support of the local community we cannot raise the money we need to develop and extend our services, which is why we are particularly thrilled that a business such as Mustard is on board.."
Natalie James, Stockdales fundraising manager

New York inspired diner, Mustard, welcomed service users and staff from Sale-based charity, Stockdales, last week for an early festive feast which marked the launch the restaurant’s commitment to raising money for the charity over the next six months.

Ten service users with their carers and staff from the charity, which provides support for adults and children with learning disabilities right across Trafford, were treated to dishes from the Sale-based diner’s forthcoming Christmas menu, including the handmade Christmas Dinner Burger – yes, Turkey, Cranberry, Pigs in Blankets and Gravy all feature here - and a mince pie milkshake!  The Beef and Gravy Burger, from which 50p from each sale will go directly to the charity, also proved popular and was matched with a choice of Minced Pie Mojito, a Gluhwein Collins or a Candy Cane Sling cocktail.

“We are delighted to be supporting Stockdales” commented Mustard owner Jane Gosnell

“Their work in Sale and across south Manchester is incredible and empowers and enables people with a learning disability to access their local services, have support where they need it and really live as part of the community.  They make an amazing difference to every person that they help, so we are proud to do what we can to raise funds for them.  And what better way to give, than simply enjoy one of our amazing burgers!  Double the joy!”

Natalie James, fundraising manager at Stockdales added: “Without the support of the local community we cannot raise the money we need to develop and extend our services, which is why we are particularly thrilled that a business such as Mustard is on board to support us.  Everyone had a fabulous meal and a great time, plus the diner’s ongoing donations through the sales of the burger will be a real bonus – it really was a ‘Christmas comes early’ time.”
