Tim Farron MP is 'On the Ropes' in the Live for Today Challenge


Liberal Democrat Leader & MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale, Tim Farron, launched the new outdoor pursuits facility at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal by trying his hand on the new tree-top ropes course.

The facility’s new operators, Live for Today, showed Tim ‘the ropes’ alongside a brand new climbing wall, rifle shooting and archery ranges, at a special Cumbria Business to Business Exhibition and Networking Event held at the Castle Green - part of the Cumbria Chamber Growth Hub exhibition. 

 

Local businesses were also invited to try out the new Live for Today outdoor pursuits centre, which targets corporate groups for team building days. With many years of experience in delivering onsite and offsite team building activities, Live for Today are providing exhilarating one off experiences and activities to bond corporate teams together.  At the Castle Green they can offer High and Low Ropes, 30ft climbing wall with Zip Wire, Air Rifle Shooting, Archery, Bushcraft Skills, Orienteering and a mixture of team tasks.  These activities are ideal for a full day team build, or as an addition to a meeting or event being staged at the Castle Green, which is adjacent to the course.

 

Ben Mayou, general manager of the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal commented: “Tim Farron was a brave man to take on the ropes course.  I gave it a whirl .. and it’s definitely not as easy as it looks!”

It gives delegates the opportunity to try new skills, and create unique team working environments.  It’s challenging, yet fun, and we feel will attract new corporate business to the Hotel and Kendal area.”
