A Manchester software house has released a new, free ecommerce software platform. Shopit Developer is now available from the official Shopit website www.shopitcommerce.com.
Aimed at small businesses and freelance web developers, it offers simple installations and better in-built functionality than competitors like WooCommerce and Magento Community.
“We’re really proud of the software, which has been developed over the past decade, and is currently being used by several of our clients”, explains Director Ketan Mistry, the senior developer who has overseen various iterations of the software.
Shopit Developer is the first phase of a global marketing plan to drive interest to its Enterprise level product - due to be released to agencies and market leader clients later this Spring - which offers real time competitor price comparisons, unlimited stock and order management and API integration features.
"The next version of the software will be highly advanced, containing features that put it alongside the best ecommerce platforms out there "
“The next version of the software will be highly advanced, containing features that put it alongside the best ecommerce platforms out there”, explains co-director Adam Pritchard. “We’ll be approaching the very best digital agencies in the north west, and across the UK, to participate in our release program. After many years of developing and refining it, these are exciting times for us”.
Shopit Enterprise will be marketed to compete with major ecommerce platforms such as Magento and BigCommerce.
