Lancaster architecture practice Harrison Pitt Architects has strengthened its team with the appointment of architectural technologist Charlotte Wrathall (pictured).

Charlotte, 25, joins the practice from Leyland-based practice Archimedia Consulting where she worked on a variety of commercial and industrial projects while studying for a BSc in Architectural Technology at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN).

As an architectural technologist, Charlotte works on the technical aspect of building design and construction, turning design concepts into reality and ensuring buildings meet all safety, quality and environmental performance regulations.

At Harrison Pitt Architects she will work on projects in the leisure, commercial, education, historical buildings and residential housing sectors.

Charlotte, who lives in Galgate, said: “I was attracted to Harrison Pitt because the practice has worked on some really great buildings, it looks after its staff and is a growing firm. I’m really pleased to be part of that.”

Richard Parker, a director at Harrison Pitt Architects, said: “Charlotte has a true passion for architectural technology and attained highly at university. These are exciting times for the practice as we continue to win a wide range of new projects and we are pleased to have Charlotte on board as part of the growing team.”

Charlotte is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT). At university Charlotte attained the CIAT award for Outstanding Graduating Student.
