Axon Resourcing Further Extends Its Offering With Three Key Appointments

"We are delighted to welcome Rachel, Brian and Linzie to the Axon Resourcing team. This is an exciting time for the business in the run up to our 2016 re-brand."

Axon Resourcing’s public sector team has entered the estates and facilities market with the appointment of experienced recruitment professional, Brian Johnston, to the newly- created position of head of estates practice. This new move has enabled Axon to further develop and enhance its exceptional recruitment offering for clients operating in the healthcare sector and broader public sector markets.

Based at the firm’s northern branch, working to a national remit, Brian began his career headhunting on behalf of IBM, before being called upon to set up an NHS recruitment practice on behalf of a national recruitment firm. He then spent six years with a specialist healthcare recruiter, where he led their estates team. Brian joins Axon at a point when demand for expertise to realise the potential within the estates sector is at an all-time high. He brings a wealth of experience in NHS estates recruitment to the Axon team and in his new role will focus on developing the estates practice, providing strategic, project and operational partners to NHS organisations and other public sector clients across the UK.

Also joining the Axon public sector team is Rachel Stanley, whose career spans more than 16 years.  Rachel joins Axon from a multi-national, specialist finance agency where her role involved recruiting into both industry and not-for-profit organisations.  Rachel’s expertise includes an impressive track record of establishing new recruitment markets and she has worked across the accountancy, education and HR sectors.

Based at Axon Resourcing’s West Midlands office, Rachel’s areas of expertise include healthcare sector appointments and developing relationships with charities, housing and education sector organisations - drawing upon her considerable knowledge and experience in these areas.

Financial recruitment specialist Linzie Strickland is the third new member of the Axon Resourcing team, also based at the Stockton Heath office in Warrington. Linzie has eight years’ recruitment experience, predominantly in finance. In her new position at Axon, Linzie is responsible for recruiting transactional finance professionals and part-qualified and qualified accountancy interims. Her clients range from blue chip corporates through to SMEs and one of her key strengths is in sourcing niche skill sets at short notice.

Axon Resourcing Managing Director, Andy Edwards, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rachel, Brian and Linzie to the Axon Resourcing team. This is an exciting time for the business in the run up to our 2016 re-brand, following the merger with Watson Moore earlier this year. The business now spans six offices nationwide, with more than 60 staff. Further key appointments are in progress and I would be delighted to engage with other experienced recruitment consultants who would be interested in joining us as we continue to grow.”
