Blackburn-based Training 2000, the largest Group Training Association (GTA) in England, is encouraging school leavers to consider the vast amount of options available to them.

For some pupils, the step from education is a daunting prospect, particularly for those who are unsure as to which career they wish to pursue or who feel classroom learning isn’t for them. Yet an Apprenticeship, which combines theory with on-the-job training, can be the ideal alternative to school or college.
With more than 22,000 quality Apprenticeship vacancies available nationally, work-based learning is fast-becoming a popular option for young and ambitious school leavers.
Apprenticeships provide young people full-time paid employment, as well as the opportunity to gain nationally-recognised qualifications and valuable, real-life work experience.

In addition to its broad range of Apprenticeships and training courses, the company also offers a study programme for those aged 16 and over who aren’t quite ready to be an apprentice. The flexible course works as a stepping stone to a vocational course or further education by helping applicants to develop their employability and social development skills and achieve a recognised qualification.
Training 2000 also provides guidance on essential basics such as interview techniques which, according to many young people, is one of the most alarming aspects of the job-seeking routine.
