Joining businesses, individuals and families from across Manchester, Realm took part in Forever Manchester Week, a 9-day fundraising extravaganza to show their Mancunian pride, raise awareness and support community projects across the region.
From working out with Captain Manchester to competing against other local businesses in The Big Forever Manchester Quiz of the Year, the firm took part in a variety of different activities and events to show their support.
On Friday 9th June, director Duane Cormell and consultants Chris Heathcote and Joe Shenton decided to walk to work in aid of the charity. The trio walked more than 35 miles from their homes in New Mills, Lymm and Deansgate to the firm’s office in Altrincham. Collectively, they walked for more than 11 hours and passed through three counties, before arriving at their desks ready to start the working day.
While they were completely exhausted following their mammoth commutes, together, Duane, Chris and Joe helped to bring in the lion’s share of Realm’s fundraising total for Forever Manchester. Director Duane commented on the team’s efforts:
“As an ambassador for Forever Manchester, I’ve seen first-hand the difference their work makes to communities across the city. Forever Manchester Week is a great way of spreading the charity’s message and helps to raise awareness about their important work. I’m thrilled that the Realm team have come together to raise money to support such a fantastic cause.”
All in all, the week was a resounding success and altogether Realm raised more than £280 for Forever Manchester. To learn more about Forever Manchester Week 2017, visit the charity’s dedicated website.
