CarterGore at Fine Tuned on the Albert Dock

Exciting new British jewellery brand, CarterGore, will join fashion royalty at this weekend’s Fine Tuned fashion event at Albert Dock Liverpool (July 8-9), with its first ever pop-up store.

A free fringe event which is part of British Style Collective, presented by The Clothes Show in association with Alcatel. Fine Tuned presents a collection of fiercely independent designer makers, street food vendors, vintage traders, performers, and classic car display, brought together by fashion guru Wayne Hemingway and his creative team at HemingwayDesign. Design lovers visiting the event will now have the opportunity to check out and try on CarterGore’s first two collections, Tattoo Candy and Carnival Wonderland.

CarterGore designer and craftsman, Gary Carter, launched his new jewellery collections at the Great British Tattoo Show in Alexandra Palace last month - offering a unique take on the iconography of tattoo culture with unashamedly cool collections of sterling silver jewellery. He is excited about bringing the collection to Liverpool.

Gary commented:

“As soon as you see and feel CarterGore, you can’t help but fall in love with it. We were lucky enough to launch the brand at The Great British Tattoo Show last month where we were flooded with interest. Everyone just loved it and seemed to really get what we are trying to create.

"I have always made jewellery but after creating quite a few tattoo inspired commissions I found myself falling in love with tattoo culture and the true artists that work in this amazing field. The more I researched and sketched the more obsessed I got, six months down the line, CarterGore was born.

“When the opportunity to take the next step and create a pop-up shop came to us, I jumped at the chance as I am confident that everyone that gets to see it will want it. We are now developing a short series of collaborative pop-ups, so to be able to work with such cool and talented designers, as HemingwayDesign for the first one is just incredible. I am really looking forward to it.”

Formerly MD of Chlobo, Gary, who developed a cult status for silver stacking bracelets, added:

"The Tattoo Candy collection itself has purely grown out of commissioned pieces - in the last six months we have done well over 50 and the reactions we get are incredible. So we have refined the designs and are scaling this up to an Internet based business. This will allow us to give great value, react quickly to what's happening in the tattoo world and hopefully keep our ever growing fan base happy.”

The HemingwayDesign team, created by Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway MBE, have handpicked only a select few independent designer makers to showcase at Fine Tuned. Other fashion designers will include Liverpool-based Toucan Tango, Aliyah Hussain, Ruth Allen, Tea Party at the Zoo, Light Fandango, Ida & Rudy, Frilly Industries, BiNO Clothing, Lee Walsh and Random Makes.
