Digital ID, market leaders in the field of secure ID card printing solutions and accessories have announced that they are the first UK based Identification company to offer global customers a 5 year warranty plan exclusive to The IDP Smart printer range. The previous warranty period for The IDP Smart range was set at 2 years with other printer manufacturers in the market offering customers up to 3 years warranty on selected printers so the new initiative from Digital ID is a massive step forward and shows the company meeting customers’ needs head on.

The 5 Year Warranty from Digital ID is a statement of confidence from the business in the quality of products on offer to customers but also their on-going drive towards customer service. In 2015 the company sold a total of 1,425 card printers from the IDP Smart range and 2,012 ID card printers in total which was an 80% growth from 2014.

“We carried out a survey with our customer base at the back end of 2015 and one of the main pieces of feedback we received was customers asking for an extended warranty period to give them full peace of mind that if something did go wrong or their printer acquired a fault then we would be there to assist them straight away meaning no long periods of downtime” said Jonathan Fell, Managing Director for the company.

Alongside the new warranty initiative the company are well underway with new internal building work which will now give them the additional space they require for a new standalone technical support department and training room which will be used by staff and also manufacturers who continually provide on-going training and support to the business.
