LOVE, JASMINE HOSTS BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT OPEN DAY
Families who have lost a loved child (of any age) are invited to attend a Love, Jasmine open day, to learn more about the services and support the charity offers, following its expansion onto the Wirral. Organisations which may support families are also invited to attend.
The charity, which was established by Rob and Kathy Lapsley following the tragic death of their daughter Jasmine in August 2014, provides support in a variety of forms, both practical and emotional, to bereaved parents and has recently expanded their services to the Wirral.
Love, Jasmine is holding the open day on 23 October to invite bereaved families and professionals who are involved with bereaved families - particularly those based on the Wirral, to learn more about the help and support Love, Jasmine can offer.
The event, held between 10am and 3pm at the Bee Wirral Community Centre, will give parents and families the opportunity to explore Love, Jasmine’s counselling services, support groups, coffee mornings, and yoga and meditation sessions.
The charity will also educate attendees on the importance of self-care while dealing with trauma and grief, and offer bereaved family members a complimentary therapy session with their experienced therapist.
Rob Lapsley, founder of the charity, said: “Love, Jasmine supports family members directly affected by the loss of a child. We provide emotional, practical and respite support and promote self-care to improve the emotional well-being of the whole family.”
Broudie Jackson Canter solicitors will be supporting the event and providing free advice to help people understand how the inquest process can affect bereaved families.
Practical support will be on hand to deal as well as more information about Jasmine’s Retreat, a short respite break for bereaved families.
Rob added: “We have recently expanded our services to the Wirral and our Open Day is an opportunity for professionals and bereaved families to come along and find out more about the support that we provide. We’re really grateful that Broudie Jackson Canter will also be there to answer questions regarding the inquest process and how that impacts bereaved families.”
