As the housebuilder continues to bring high quality homes to the North West, the regional team have focused their recent charity efforts on ensuring more than just their own customers have a safe place to shelter.
Habitat for Humanity works with established partners in more than 70 countries across the world to offer simple, sustainable solutions by working with the poorest and most vulnerable people to provide the support needed to help them lift themselves out of poverty by building homes, communities and restoring independence. Cornerstone is a Manchester-based homeless day centre providing shelter and help for disadvantaged adults facing a wide range of social issues, from a warm meal and quality clothing to healthcare access and educational activities.
Hosted on 7th September at the prestigious Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, Miller Homes welcomed over 400 employees, sub-contractors, suppliers, land contacts and professional advisers to an evening brimming with entertainment – with a three course dinner complimented with dancers, magicians and charity auctions alongside speeches and videos highlighting how the funds will be used to help society’s most vulnerable. The evening raised a total of £13,500 which will be split evenly between the two charities.
