Mortgage advisory service, The UK Adviser has helped to raise over £30,000 for Hits Radio’s charity, Cash for Kids, following a series of fundraising events.

The Bury-based business sponsored this year’s Cash For Kids Annual Golf Day and Glitter Ball earlier this month at the Marriot Hotel & Golf Course in conjunction with Hits Radio, helping raise £30,000 for the children’s charity.

The money raised for the charity, Cash for Kids, will go to children and young people throughout the Greater Manchester and North West region, with mental, physical or sensory disabilities, living in poverty or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.

As well as sponsoring the events, The UK Adviser also held a fancy-dress fundraising event at its head office in Bury which saw staff dress up as their favorite superheroes for the day in return for sponsorship, raising a further £1,579.

Lisa Bird, Chief Operating Officer at The UK Adviser, said: “We are extremely proud to have sponsored the Hits Radio Cash for Kids Golf Day and Glitter Ball, this year, and help the young people of Greater Manchester. With our three company values being - advising, educating and giving, making the decision to sponsor an event which supports underprivileged children using similar values, was an easy one for us to make.

“We feel strongly about giving back to the local community through events such as these and, have made it a key part in the company’s brand values - this is why it’s company policy to share a percentage of lender fees to support local charities. We look forward to organising and supporting more local charity initiatives in the near future!”

The UK Adviser was set up by entrepreneur Maxim Cohen and mortgage expert Lisa Bird in 2018 and allows people to start their own business as a mortgage adviser using the support, resources and training of the company.
