NM Group (North Midland Construction Plc) has secured a place on two major highways frameworks in the North of England - set to facilitate multimillion pound infrastructure projects across Greater Manchester and Yorkshire over the next four years.
Manchester City Council has chosen NM Group to be part of its newly launched framework, which will commence in 2018 and is expected to deliver works to the value of £240m across the Greater Manchester region, including highways development, bridge construction and other civils works.
Having secured a place on all eight lots, potential contracts include both construction & design, and construction-only lots, ranging from £500k to £5m+. The framework can also be used by other Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA), its associate members and partners. This includes Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan councils, plus other partner organisations.
NM Group has also won places on the £1bn YORcivil2 framework, which covers civil engineering works for the whole of Yorkshire. Contracting authorities for the framework are East Riding of Yorkshire Council (North and East region) and Sheffield City Council (South and West region).
Places on both of Yorkshire’s sub-regional frameworks have been awarded to NM Group, for civil engineering projects up to the value of £10 million. In addition to the two local authorities, the framework will also be used by other public sector bodies and third-sector organisations based in the region.
