The board of Liverpool based workplace wellbeing charity, Health @ Work, will change leadership this month with current chair Jenny Stewart handing the hot seat over to HR strategist Sheena Carroll.

Jenny Stewart, chief executive of Liverpool and Sefton Chamber of Commerce, will remain on the board and focus on the business development of the charity, working closely with Health @ Work chief executive Frances Molloy.

Health @ Work was formed in 1990 and offers a number of national workplace health and wellbeing services. The charity has a number of local and international companies signed up to its Workplace Wellbeing Charter – a programme aimed at helping employers become more conscious about the wellbeing of their employees.

Companies signed up to the charter include the City of Liverpool College, Positive Futures, Arriva and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Incumbent chair Sheena Carroll has over 20 years of professional experience in the HR sector working with SME’s right the way through to large organisations such as Manchester Metropolitan University.

In addition, Sheena is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development

Sheena commented:

“It is a great honour and I am delighted.  During my time on the Board I have gained a great appreciation of the commitment of the whole team.  To have the opportunity to use my skill and experience in an area that is important to me, is a real treat.”

“Work is such a large portion of all of our lives and I hope that by building on the success of Jenny and the team in recent years, I can make a real contribution to Health @ Work becoming the leading expert on health in the workplace.”

Frances Molloy, chief executive, Health @ Work Commented:

“I am thrilled to be working with Sheena as chair of the Health @ Work board. Her skills and experience will bring an added value to the role. I am as equally delighted that Jenny Stewart will remain on the board and continue to support the development of the charity.”
