A leading Wrexham law firm has boosted its clinical negligence team with the appointment of Joanne Maher.
Joanne joins Walker Smith Way Legal, based on Chester Street, as solicitor from Fletchers Solicitors where she was a key member of its clinical negligence team.
The 45 year-old, who is from Liverpool, retrained as a solicitor following a ten year career in mental health.
Joanne specialises in clinical negligence and has already gained a reputation for pursuing compensation for a range of clinical negligence cases including orthopaedics, delayed and misdiagnosis, cosmetic surgery, obstetric injuries, and surgical procedures.
Commenting on the appointment, managing partner at Walker Smith Way Legal, Neil Turnbull, said: “Joanne has extensive experience in the healthcare field so she is well-placed to help those that have experienced a shortfall in care gain the support and compensation they deserve.”

She undertook her training contract with James Murray Solicitors and qualified as a solicitor in 2012 after completing a graduate diploma in law at Manchester Metropolitan University and a Legal Practice Course at Liverpool John Moores University.
Joanne gained a degree in psychology from Bangor University before studying counselling at Deeside College. She has also completed a post graduate diploma in forensic and behavioural science at the University of Liverpool.
