Merseyside-based Your Legal Friend is expanding its client offering with the launch of a professional negligence practice.
The new team at Your Legal Friend will complement the solicitor’s well-established personal injury practice, which incorporates RTA, non-RTA and clinical negligence departments.
Building upon the firm’s existing client base, the professional negligence team will provide legal support for claimants who have suffered negligence at the hands of a number of different professionals, including:
• Surveyors
• Architects and engineers
• Construction workers
• Solicitors and barristers
• Financial advisors
• Insurance brokers
The new practice will be headed up by Shelley Naughton, an experienced professional negligence solicitor with a strong track record in dealing with large multi- track High Court matters. She has represented clients in claims against a multitude of professionals, including solicitors, barristers, surveyors, architects and accountants both on an individual and commercial basis.
Shelley will be supported by Shamim Malik, another professional negligence specialist who has conducted both claimant and defendant work. His experience encompasses claims against solicitors, barristers, surveyors, architects and lenders.
