In line with Quite Simply French’s continuous investment in taking the luxury hospitality experience to new levels. September 30th, 2019, sees the much anticipated opening and unveiling of their Restaurant with Rooms concept, following an extensive 9-month refurbishment and restoration.
Award winning nationally-renowned architects Harrison Pitt were commissioned to design the renovation, comprising 3 spacious guest rooms and 1 suite. Quite Simply French’s ethos of buying local has continued with this project; supplying the designer bathrooms are Purely Simply Lovely, tiles from Rees Tiles and Flooring Ltd, bespoke metal work from Quay Fabrications, plumbing from Millers Plumbing & Heating, building work by Chris Edmondson Joinery & Building, state of the art lighting by Epixx and Hammond Electrical, painting and decorating by Michael Ellis Painting & Decorating plus branding and marketing by Better with Jam. Everyone has worked tirelessly over the last few months to ensure everything will be finished to the highest specification, in time for the grand opening.
Robert Mason owner is excited about bringing his vision to life “Throughout the restoration and refurbishment, everyone has taken extra special care in preserving the spirit of the property. We believe the appeal of our restaurant with rooms will be the combination of a wonderfully relaxed vibe, an emphasis on great ingredients from the area together with local charm and stylish panache. There’s an insider feel that you don’t get at a more formal hotel, and there’s a foodie enthusiasm that wouldn’t be exuded quite as joyfully at a larger enterprise. We want out guests to feel utterly spoiled and very special. Our dedicated team will be offering the familiar, ultimate quality service, everyone associates with Quite Simply French.”
Located on the historic St Georges Quay, a short stroll from Lancaster city centre, the restaurant with rooms will provide guests with a truly unique experience, enhanced by a lovely panorama across the River Lune. All the bedrooms have expansive spaces for guests to relax and all the little touches, such as crystal French chandeliers and free standing baths have been lovingly chosen by Robert and his partner Gary.
Upstairs the four dreamy bedrooms nestle under the eaves with sumptuous Hypnos beds clad in the finest Egyptian cotton bedlinen. Romantic free-standing baths and rainfall showers come with plenty of hot water and Bath House toiletries. Walls are part exposed stone, ceilings show off ancient beams with sumptuous headboards in bold shades of cranberry, olive plum and lemon. Character and room shapes are dictated by the old building and all of the modern furnishings have a ‘je ne sais quoi’ adding to the sense of a boutique bolthole.
The award-winning restaurant harmonises exceptional food using high quality, fresh and seasonal produce and will offer an array of gourmet choices for breakfast, and as well as the very popular current Sunday lunch offer, in October they will open their doors for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays.
Commenting on the opening on September 30th Robert says: “We are delighted to open Quite Simply French - Fine French Restaurant with Rooms - and lead it into its next chapter. We are now taking bookings and look forward to welcoming guests and offering them a truly memorable experience in a timeless destination.”
