Kayleigh reaches out for somewhere to train and play for the winter

"Its a great shame. Amber and her team-mates are so full of enthusiasm but there simply isnt the funds in the club to support what they would all love to do, play every week."
Barry Wheller

Lacrosse enthusiastic Kayleigh Waldron is so fed up for her young lacrosse team-mates based at Liverpool Cricket Club, she’s decided to reach out.

Now Kayleigh of Liverpool Junior Lacrosse Club has organised a fundraising page online, in the hope of funding training and games on Astro-turf pitches.

She said: “Training is currently on grass pitches, which are waterlogged and training is often cancelled owing to the pitches being unfit to play on. We’re aiming to raise money to book training and games on Astro-turf pitches, which will enable the development of the junior teams and give them more opportunities to play competitively.”

One parent, Barry Wheller, whose daughter Amber plays added: “It’s a great shame. Amber and her team-mates are so full of enthusiasm but there simply isn’t the funds in the club to support what they would all love to do, play every week. Sport is such a vital part of a young person's self-development, i really hope we can somehow raise enough funds."
