LateRooms.com will be delivering a free Health & Wellness for Business Travellers breakfast round-table and networking event next Friday morning, 8– 10 am at its city centre office in Manchester.

The event is the first in a series planned by LateRooms.com Business and speakers will include a leading nutritionist, a stress management specialist and an osteopath.

“Business travel is a crucial element of the working life of all business owners and employees and yet its impact on health and productivity is often overlooked,” says Business Development Manager at LateRooms.com Business, Louise Fox. She adds: “Far too often business travel can lead to the physical and mental health of executives taking a back seat.”

This was highlighted only this week with a new study from Columbia University revealing that the more a person travels for business purposes, the bigger the impact on their health.

The study showed that frequent business travellers were more likely to suffer from higher blood pressure, obesity, anxiety, depression and alcohol dependence. There is often the temptation to eat fast food, as well as a lack of good quality sleep and exercise. Hours spent driving also can create back and posture problems.

This LateRooms.com Business breakfast seminar will look at these issues and offer tips and advice from the panel of experts. The event is the first of a series the business travel specialists have planned over the coming months as the department expands its offerings, incentives and deals.

Speakers will include top UK nutritionist Julie Silver, author Nutrition for Now, health journalist Collette Walsh and osteopath, Ed Madeley.
