China’s best-known beer band, Tsingtao (pronounced Ching Dow), is hitting Manchester this month with an action-packed programme of fun events – and it’s all geared around ping pong.

Centred around two nights of table tennis action at Gorilla on Whitworth Street, Tsingtao Beer will also be entertaining businesses in the city by dropping into their offices armed with ice cold Tsingtao and even some full-sized professional table tennis tables.

A genuine imported world beer, every bottle of Tsingtao is brewed in China, where table tennis has long been part of the country’s culture and the Tsingtao team will be offering a refreshing and authentic taste of China when it makes the several surprise drops into local businesses later this month.

Thursday September 27th is an opportunity for Manchester businesses to bat it out at Ping Pong Fight Club. Also at Gorilla on Whitworth Street, businesses will go head to head in a unique team based inter-company ping pong tournament battling it out to be crowned Ping Pong Fight Club champions of Manchester.

This is Ping Pong Fight Club’s first visit to Manchester and already a host of the city’s businesses, including ITV and some of the Coronation Street cast, Intechnica, Shoot The Moon and Interactive Investor, have signed up to take part in this fun, party-style networking event.

From maverick start-ups to sector leaders, hundreds will compete, play and party alongside their work colleagues and will have exclusive access to all the activities available to the general public the night before.

Organiser and founder of Ping Pong Fight Club, Ade Leigh says: “Ping Pong Fight Club is totally inclusive, meaning everyone can be part of the action. This is a fun and energetic event, without any air of stuffiness. We’ve had great interest in sign-ups so far, there’s definitely a competitive spirit here!”

Companies can enter a team of four players with a range of packages from ‘The Lightweight’ (up to 10 supporters and 4 team players) to ‘The Rookie’ (up to 30 and 4 team players) – all include a Tsingtao Beer, bespoke company Ping Pong Fight Club t-shirts and headbands.
