Thursday Link Up, a networking event created for businesses in Chorley and Leyland, is celebrating 12 months of success as it plans to continue to help connect local companies.
Providing a networking opportunity in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, Thursday Link Up aims to offer a chance for local businesses to create contacts, build relationships and generate business within the local area.
Established last September by the Chorley branch of Handelsbanken along with Chorley-based marketing communications agency, The Write Angle, Thursday Link Up has welcomed hundreds of professionals and entrepreneurs through its doors at its monthly meet-up at Dantes bar and restaurant in Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley.
Julia Monks, Thursday Link Up founder and corporate banking manager at Handelsbanken Chorley, said: “It was great to celebrate in style with so many local businesses at our first birthday event last night (17 September).
“I’d like to say a big thank you to our sponsor for the evening, Chorley-based accountancy firm, Studholme-Bell, and also to all the businesses that have provided sponsorship and supported the event in the last 12 months - without them this event wouldn’t be possible.
“We have some fantastic businesses on our doorstep and Thursday Link Up was set up to offer these companies an alternative to city centre networking. We’re giving professionals and entrepreneurs the chance to meet, share contacts and build long-term business relationships with each other. We’ve had some fantastic feedback from attendees and sponsors alike and are looking forward to the event going from strength to strength.
