Rental properties released as Lettings Co-ordinator appointed at Greta Gardens

""

Hollie Dunn, 30, from Braithwaite near Keswick has been appointed as the Lettings Co-ordinator at Your Housing Group’s Greta Gardens retirement living scheme on Crow Park Road in Keswick, Cumbria.

Her appointment comes as the 34 apartments for affordable rent are released, with four already allocated.

Built by Your Housing Group, one of the UK’s largest housing associations, the four storey £9mdevelopment, for local people 55 and over, will open its doors to new residents in late May.

Debbie Seymour, Retirement Living Services Manager at Your Housing Group said:  “Half the apartments at Greta Gardens are available for affordable rent, making them very good value. There are strict criteria we have to abide by to ensure the Local Occupancy Clause is adhered to and anyone 55 and over in the CA12 postcode is eligible to apply to live at Greta Gardens.  This means that all our residents, whether they rent, buy or take the shared ownership option all come from a four mile radius of the site.  Local really does mean local and this is a new facility that will benefit the whole community.

“It’s great to welcome Hollie to the team and it’s fantastic to have someone on board who knows Keswick and its community very well. She will help residents through the whole moving process from start to finish and her local knowledge will be very handy.”

Commenting on her appointment, Hollie Dunn, Lettings Co-ordinator for Your Housing Group’s Greta Gardens scheme said: “To find a tenancy management job locally is very rare so I’m over the moon.  I used to be a project worker for a local homelessness programme so this is a change of direction for me but my past experience in managing tenancies will be really valuable. I have two young children at Keswick School, so the job is in the perfect location with ideal hours to fit in with being a mum.  I couldn’t ask for more.”

In total there are  69 one and two bedroom apartments built for retirement living, this includes 34 for affordable rent, 18 for shared ownership and 17 for outright sale ranging from 731 to 781sq ft for a two bedroom and 624 sq  ft for a one bedroom.

Conveniently located close to Keswick town centre, the scheme will incorporate on-site amenities including a bistro, hairdressers and beauty salon which will be open to the public.

Local people wanting to rent at Greta Gardens should contact Your Housing Group on 0345 345 0272 and anyone interested in buying an apartment should call Your Housing Group’s sales team on 0845 618 5008.
