Flakefleet residents go green thanks to Regenda Homes

"Keeping our communities looking clean and tidy is really important and makes sure that our residents can be proud of their local area."

Taking place on Tuesday 7 August 2018, residents from across Flakefleet disposed of unwanted household items, filling 11 skips in total. Usually these items would be left in residents’ gardens or fly tipped in alleyways, creating issues for the local community.

A central hub was set up on Lindel Road and residents were given information to help educate them on rubbish disposal and recycling, including Wyre Borough Council’s Bulky Matters service.

Fleetwood Town Council attended the event, along with the Fire Service and Regenda Homes’ Regeneration Team.

Hollie Caulton, Regenda Homes Neighbourhood Officer, said: “It was a fantastic day and I would like to thank all our partner agencies who took part.

“Keeping our communities looking clean and tidy is really important and makes sure that our residents can be proud of their local area.

“We hope that residents will use the information they received to take ownership of rubbish disposal and keep Flakefleet looking great!”
