Prolific specialist supported living developer HBV has formed a new partnership with the Autistic Society Greater Manchester Area (ASGMA) aimed at enhancing its developments of new build properties for people living with autism.
HBV, based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, develops specialist supported living apartments for people with a range of complex disabilities including autism. So far it has delivered more than 600 apartments across the country for disabled adults and is on target to deliver 400 more by the end of 2019.
ASGMA is a charity which provides parents and carers with support and information for people with autistic spectrum conditions, including Asperger Syndrome and other conditions.
HBV and its development delivery partners including Morgan Sindall Investments Limited (MSIL), Altrincham-based Calderpeel, Clancy Consulting, Zerum and Stone hosted a variety of workshops, meetings and focus groups with members of the charity.
Jonathan Wrigley, managing director of HBV, who lives locally in Hale, said:
“We are pleased to be the first developers in the specialist supported living market to complete this programme and we have learned a great deal that we will now include in our business. The insights we gleaned from members of ASGMA, who are all diagnosed with autism, has been insightful and will enable us to further enhance our bespoke properties making them more in tune with what this market demands.”
