Lancashire Carer Launches Graduate Recruitment Drive

Lancashire Carer Launches Graduate Recruitment Drive

""

The search begins this week for university graduates and current students to join home care specialist, Community Life Choices, as summer carers.

Those joining the team will deliver personalised support plans to capture individual outcomes for children and young people across Lancashire with complex care needs and adults with mental health problems.

The roles coincide with a significant rise in mental health provision compared to this time last year, as well as spike in care requirements during the school summer holidays from families with children and young dependants.

Community Life Choices has contracts with Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Warrington Borough Council, Halton Borough Council and most recently, Cumbria County Council.

Alan Frew, managing director of Community Life Choices, said: “More people in the UK require care than ever before, particularly those with mental health problems, which is why we’re on the lookout for the next generation of talent to work across our different care disciplines.

“We provide practical and emotional support to so many individuals and their families, with these roles perfectly-suit students and graduates with health and social care skills and knowledge. This valuable, hands-on experience helps to put theory into practice and gives students the confirmation that what they’re studying is the right career path for them.

“What we do as a company has a major impact on the lives of others, providing tailored care and support so people can live independently in their own homes and communities and that means casting the net far and wide to source the very best suitably-skilled staff.”

Successful candidates will receive full relevant training as required, as well as mentoring, shadowing and observation periods from senior staff members to aid development
