NEC Europe Ltd and ebb3 Ltd join forces with Dassault Systmes

Tri-party Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Partnership to Benefit Designers, Manufacturers and Architects.

NEC Europe Ltd and ebb3 Ltd join forces with Dassault Systmes

"By working collaboratively, all three organisations are working toward the joint goal of reducing the time from design concept to product by 50."
Mark Vickers, CEO at ebb

Following the successful strategic collaboration with ebb3 Ltd (ebb3), NEC Europe Ltd. (NEC) has extended the alliance to now include Dassault Systèmes, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.

The partnership will combine ebb3’s in-depth knowledge of application workflow resourcing and virtualisation and NEC’s global market delivery capability with Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform.  Working together, the three organisations will leverage the High Performance Virtual Computer architecture (HPVC) to provide CTOs and CIOs facing complex problems in the manufacturing, automotive, architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) sectors, with a cost effective solution to some of the most demanding big data and workflow challenges.

The MoU between Dassault Systèmes and the ebb3/NEC alliance perfectly aligns with all companies’ aims of supporting manufacturing professionals to work in true collaborative intensive graphical environments both real and virtual. In addition to potentially reducing the time from design concept to production by 50%, the companies aim to harness one of the world’s leading solution experiences for 3D design, analysis, simulation, and intelligence software in a collaborative, interactive environment and making the process seamless for both on premise and cloud workflows.

By leveraging ebb3’s HPVC and Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, businesses are able to work with a global-leading 3D design, model, simulation and product lifecycle management application solution set, including applications such as: CATIA, ENOVIA, DELMIA, EXALEAD and SOLIDWORKS. As a result, this allows for a virtualised infrastructure for 3D and HPC workflows across any device at any time, facilitating collaboration and efficiency from initial inception to final product.

Additionally, this development is revolutionising the way organisations conceive and develop new products, with teams at every stage of the product lifecycle contributing in equal measure, to productivity and creativity. Further, it will reduce bottlenecks and engineering downtime, thereby solving data gravity, data complexity and data compatibility problems. This will culminate in reduced time to market.

Speaking about the partnership, Mark Vickers, CEO at ebb3, explained: “We are seeing a growth in remote and virtual working across multiple sectors around the world. To attract the best talent, businesses need to offer a working environment which meets the needs of the individuals.

“By working collaboratively, all three organisations are working toward the joint goal of reducing the time from design concept to product by 50%.”

Mark Jackson, Head of Manufacturing Industrial Solutions Europe at NEC Europe Ltd. said: “For any digital transformation process the importance of secure usable data across the workflow and distributed teams cannot be understated. Being a platform enabler via the HPVC for the full 3DEXPERIENCE platform has long been a joint target with ebb3 and Dassault Systèmes. Together with our enabling partners, allowing the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to reach new and existing manufacturing customers struggling with the complexities of data transformation and production workflows as they navigate their digital transformation journey, is extremely valuable. It’s exciting for all of us to be able to take this to our customer base.

“NEC Europe is delighted to work with Dassault Systèmes to move forward as principle CSI in the future for the HPVC. Delivering both out of the box and customised solutions for some of the most demanding CAD, mixed reality and collaborative PLM intensive workflows to partner customers within AEC verticals”

John Stokoe, Head of Strategic Development for Dassault Systemes in EuroNorth said: “We are delighted to be a part of this strong partnership where we will be working collaboratively to approach the market with our respective capabilities and experiences, driving new, joint enterprise solutions in the Construction, Infrastructure and Automotive Industries, as well as across the Manufacturing Sector.”
