WeDisrupt on Scale Up Journey with PwC
Retail transformation specialist, WeDisrupt, has been accepted onto the PwC Scale Up programme after facing stiff competition from a large number of technology start-ups in Manchester. The new company, which helps retailers digitise bricks and mortar, was one in seven companies chosen to join the programme.
WeDisrupt has developed technology that helps retailers measure the influence and effectiveness of their digital campaigns on in-store behaviour. They have already been working with a well-known high street retailer on a store of the future project, whilst helping e-commerce companies to better understand their data to manage key digital marketing campaigns. WeDisrupt have already been working on transformational projects for leading brands, which include a Fortune 500 company.
The PwC Scale Manchester programme is being run with their programme partner Form, and provides companies the tools and knowledge they need to scale their business from a start-up to large organisation. The 12-week programme connects innovative and high growth scale-ups with opportunities for commercial growth, market leaders and industry insiders.
Tanya Hemphill, Co-Founder and Director of WeDisrupt says ‘When James Gregson and myself founded WeDisrupt in January this year, we had ambitious growth plans. We are delighted that PwC have also seen our potential and are supporting us on our scale-up journey. We know we are in good company, as past Alumni has included Peak Digital, Money Mover and NetClearance.’

Lucy Bushby, the Scale Programme Lead says ‘"The Manchester start-up scene is thriving and having spoken to over 120 companies during our recruitment process, I was astounded by the quality of companies in the region. We are very proud to be supporting some of the most ambitious of these, including WeDisrupt, by connecting them to our network and developing their growth strategies. We first started running Scale programmes around 18 months ago and have already worked with over 100 start-ups in various regions and sector-niches. It's fantastic to be able to bring the programme to the North West."
